When considering a CSA share, knowing what you will be getting in your box is crucial! We grow only veggies we love to eat, so even if it's not a staple on your shopping list, Jodie will provide her favorite recipes, especially for those not-so-familiar foods.
The prices are there for you to hold us accountable; we will make sure you have at least $25 worth of produce in your box. (During the months of August and September, expect the total to exceed that)
The availability of items are subject to change. Weather impacts everything, and working on this property with this soil type is new to us. There will be a learning curve, but that's why we are growing more than we need.

Frequently asked questions

Can I cancel my share?
Yes. No matter the reasoning, you can always cancel your share and receive a refund for the unused weeks.
What if I'm on vacation for a week?
This is a great opportunity share with a friend or neighbor. Coordinate to have someone pick up your share and enjoy some fresh veggies.
Can I customize my share?
When you purchase your share, you can leave a note with your favorites veggies or items you won't use. I will do my best to adjust your box. However, changing preferences week to week will not be as easy.
Can I buy a share mid season?
As long as there are still available shares, yes! There are a limited amount of shares available, but if they don't sell out, or if someone drops their share you are welcome to buy one for the price of $25/per week left in the season.
What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture. It's not a new concept, but I came to learn about it through Kristin Kimball's book The Dirty Life. It's meant to be a community in need of fresh, healthy produce, who financially support a farmer. They pay the farmer in advance for the materials the farmer needs to grow the produce and in return the farmer provides food.
Philosophically, I strongly believe in this concept. Our current world, for many reasons, the concept is more complicated than it should be. Yet, as long as I'm growing produce, I will do my best to share it with whoever I can.
What do you do with extra produce?
During the heavy harvest season of August, September, and October I will offer overflow and bulk purchases of items like tomatoes and squash. Throughout the season, I will donate to food banks and shelters. Food waste is a big pet peeve of mine - there will be as little food waste as I can manage.
